New KHC Mortgage Customers

Welcome to Mortgage Servicing!

Congratulations on your new home!  At Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC), we’re honored to serve as your mortgage servicer. Our Mortgage Servicing team is here to help you manage your loan from start to finish — including your payments, escrow account, insurance, and questions that come up along the way.

Our goal is to make homeownership easier to manage and easier to understand. Whether you’re setting up automatic payments, reviewing your escrow statement, or navigating a change in your insurance or taxes, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

As your servicer, KHC:

  • Collects and processes your monthly mortgage payments.
  • Manages your escrow account for taxes and insurance.
  • Works with your insurance and tax offices to ensure timely payments.
  • Provides year-end tax documents (Form 1098).
  • Offers assistance if you experience financial hardship.

We’re committed to service that’s personal, transparent, and local — right here in Kentucky.

Managing Your Mortgage

We’re here to help you manage your home loan with confidence. Below are some key things to know about your KHC-serviced loan.

  • Account Access

Your online e-Status Portal allows you to:

  • View your loan balance and payment history
  • Access escrow and tax documents
  • Update your contact information
  • Request payoff quotes

You may register for your online account at https://kyhousing.estatusconnect.com/

You will need your KHC loan number and your social security number.

  • DPA Loans

If you received a Down Payment Assistance (DPA) loan through KHC that loan will also be serviced by us. You’ll see it listed separately from your first mortgage, but both can be viewed and managed through your online e-Status account. It is a separate loan, with an individual loan number, that requires a payment.  It is not included in your main mortgage monthly payment.

  • Making Payments

There are four easy ways to make loan payments:

  • Online:
Log in to your e-Status account to make one-time or recurring payments here: https://kyhousing.estatusconnect.com/.
  • Auto-Draft:
Set up automatic monthly payments for convenience and peace of mind. You can access the Automatic Clearing House (ACH) Agreement form which is located under Resources.
  • By Mail:
Mail payments to the address listed on your payment coupon.
  • By Phone:
Call our automated payment line at 703-857-2117 which is available 24 hours a day; or speak with a representative at 800-633-8896, extension 216 during business hours.

Automatic or online payments are the most convenient methods to pay your mortgage.

What Else Should I know About My Payment?

Your monthly payment is comprised of Principal and Interest - which is a fixed amount – but also includes an amount for your escrow account. Escrow pays for insurance and property taxes which can change year-to-year.

Escrow Accounts

All KHC mortgage loans (except DPA loans) include an escrow account that we manage for you. Each month, a portion of your payment goes into this account to cover your property taxes and homeowner’s insurance.

We review your escrow account each year on January 1 to ensure there’s enough to cover these expenses. If taxes or insurance change, your escrow payment may adjust — and you’ll receive a detailed annual escrow analysis explaining why.

Insurance

Keeping your property insured protects you and KHC. Please advise your agent that KHC now services your mortgage, to send your updated declarations page to KHC as soon as possible, and to send all renewal billings to our Escrow Account Services Department.

Property Taxes

The various taxing authorities will always send you a copy of your tax bill(s). During the first year of your mortgage, it is imperative that you send a copy of any tax bills you receive to our Escrow Account Services Department. Failure to provide KHC with a copy could cause delays paying the bill from your escrow account and result in fines or interest being imposed.
