Housing for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA)
Housing for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA)
Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) administers the HOPWA program for Kentucky. The HOPWA Grant Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and provides assistance to low-income individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and any family members living with them.
HOPWA funding provides housing assistance and related supportive services to reduce the risks of homelessness for this population and increase access to appropriate healthcare and other support.
How to Get Help
To receive HOPWA assistance, clients must be at or below 80 percent of the area median income and have a diagnosis of HIV/AIDS.
