Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) is the designated administrator for the Commonwealth of Kentucky of the Federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, governed by Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code (Code), as well as the Tax-Exempt Bond program for rental housing, governed by Section 142(d) of the Code. KHC offers various gap financing programs, that may be paired with LIHTCs or Tax-Exempt Bonds. KHC conducts an annual competitive process for these resources to create or preserve affordable housing in conjunction with our development partners.
